Ex-CFD chief Hoff gets new job

Recently retired Chicago fire commissioner Robert Hoff has a new job.

Our news partner The Daily Herald says Hoff has been hired as a deputy fire chief for the Carol Stream Fire Protection District.

It comes less than two weeks after Hoff said he was retiring from the Chicago Fire Department to spend more time with family.

The job in Carol Stream pays $115,000 a year.
