WH to appeal judge's block on graphic smoking images

On Wednesday, a judge blocked a government mandate calling for graphic anti-smoking images on cigarette packaging. Now, the Obama administration is fighting back.

The White House says it will appeal that decision to keep the rule in place. At issue is the proposed requirement that was supposed to kick in this September that would have cigarette packaging with images of people dying from smoking related disease, mouth and gum damage linked to smoking.

A U.S. District Judge ruled those images violate the tobacco companies right to free speech.

Officials say this case could take years to resolve.
