Study shows popcorn may be healthy

A new study confirms that popcorn could be healthy for you--assuming it's not covering in butter, oil and salt.

According to researchers at the University of Scranton, the crunchy hull of popcorn is rich in polyphenols. Those are antioxidants that prevent damage to cells. Polyphenols also may have disease-fighting properties.

One researcher says polyphenols are concentrated in popcorn hulls because popcorn doesn't have a lot of water and because it's 100% whole grain.
