Contracts for 13,000 janitors in Chicago expire in about a week and the janitors have voted to give their bargaining committee the power the call a strike.

They held a rally Saturday outside the Teamsters Hall following the vote.

According to their union, janitors are struggling to survive on an annual income that is $20,000 below the cost of living for a Chicago family.

They're calling for a pay raise and better benefits.
