A study in Health Affairs found it cost more in the US to treat cancer than in any other country, but the survival rate is also longer.

The study found US cancer patients often live almost two years longer than similar patients in Europe, arguing for the dollar value of care given.

A spokesperson with the American Cancer Society says the study it flawed.

Adding that researchers attributed increased survival to the treatment when it is really over-diagnosis.
