The girl was found at Ashland Avenue and Roosevelt Road on Friday inside a stroller, police said. She was taken to UIC Medical Center. The Department of Children and Family Services said the child is "doing well and is healthy."
"A concerned citizen found the girl and turned her over to police," DCFS spokesman Jimmie Whitelow told the Sun-Times Media, LLC. "She was taken to the hospital and then turned over to our care."
Anyone with information on the missing child or her family should call the DCFS Hotline at (800) 252-2873.
