Those are some measures in a proposal being considered by the Department of Transportation. The Sun- Times reported the plan would include installing countdown pedestrian signals at 300 intersections this year.

There is also a proposed target time of 72 hours to patch potholes and the replacement of the Lake Michigan shoreline retaining walls and bike lane improvement.
