Granville Red Line stop to close for 6 weeks

June 1, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The Granville station will close just before midnight. It will remain closed for six weeks for platform repairs, new lighting and other improvements.

Seven North Side stations will be renovated in all.

Alternate Service Options for Granville Customers
While the Granville station is temporarily closed, Red Line customers will be directed to use either the nearby Thorndale or Loyola stations, two and three blocks away, respectively. Customers also can board northbound #147 Outer Drive Express buses from Sheridan Road to improve their travel time to the Loyola station.
