The Magic Parlour at The Palmer House Hilton

June 1, 2012 (CHICAGO)

"The Magic Parlour" is an evening show harkening back to the days of after-dinner entertainment and intimacy. Magician, Dennis Watkins puts audiences under his spell in one of the historic Palmer House Hilton's private dining rooms.

Guests gather at Potter's Lounge in the lobby of the Palmer House Hilton before being escorted to the Magic Parlour, which changes locations within the hotel based on the size of the audience. They are then treated to a 70 minute performance of sleight-of-hand and mind boggling techniques interspersed with narrative as Watkins tells of the lessons he learned from his grandfather, also a magician.

Tickets are $75 (beer and wine included) and may be purchased at 773.769.3832 or http://thehousetheatre.com. Shows are at 10:30 p.m. on Fridays at the Palmer House Hilton hotel (17 E. Monroe St., Chicago).
