A former Chicago Police sergeant was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday. Prosecutors say he stole more than $1 million from his union.

Fifty-six-year-old John Pallohusky pleaded guilty back in April.

Prosecutors say the former head of the Chicago Police Sergeants Association used the money to pay off credits cards, take gambling trips and even make a down payment on a house.
