A long-time Illinois powerbroker linked to the Rod Blagojevich corruption case has suffered a heart attack.

A family spokesperson says 77-year-old William Cellini was released from the hospital Wednesday, two days after having the heart attack during a medical procedure.

Last week, a federal judge refused to throw out his conviction of conspiring to shake down a Hollywood producer for a contribution the Blagojevich campaign.

Cellini is scheduled to be sentenced next week.
