The automaker says driveshafts in the 2012 Civic might come apart. If that happens while the car is in motion, Honda says the Civic will coast to a stop. The car can also roll away after a driver puts it into park after the driveshaft fails.
Honda will begin notifying Civic owners later this month about inspections and repairs.
