Police are hoping the public can help them find whoever vandalized the Chicago Police Memorial near Soldier Field.

Graffiti was scrawled across the memorial sometime Thursday.

There is a $3,000 reward offered for the arrest and conviction of the vandals.

Police have no physical description, but hope someone recognizing the letters or symbols will come forward.

The memorial honors police officers who have died in the line of duty.
