Alex Bell is 23 years old. He was found about three hours after his escape was reported.
Bell is an Illinois Department of Corrections inmate. The Chicago Police Department was notified about 6 a.m. that the inmate escaped from the hospital, said police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
Bell was arrested in May of 2011 and is serving a six-year sentence for residential burglary.
