World War II vet from Chicago buried at Arlington National Cemetery

June 26, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Several family members from the Chicago area attended the service for Lieutenant Emil Wasilewski. His remains were not discovered until 1991 in the former East Germany.

It took several years and a DNA sample from a nephew in Downers Grove to identify Wasilewski's remains.

Wasilewski was buried with full military honors.
