Chicago, Illinois (June 27, 2012) - On Friday, June 29th and Saturday, June 30th from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Old St. Pat's will host the 28th annual World's Largest Block Party in the heart of the west loop. This year, Des Plaines (from Madison to Adams) and Monroe (from east of the expressway to Jefferson) street is closed 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28th and will remain closed until 6:00 a.m. Sunday, July 1st. However, Friday, June 29th from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monroe Street will reopen at the Expressway for access to the Loop. Due to the size of the event and amount of set-up preparations on Thursday, Old St. Pat's apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the gate, if the event is not sold-out. Two-night passes are also available for $75. Admission includes four FREE beverages with choice of beer, wine, soda or bottled water. Celebrity Bartenders will serve beverages from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Main Stage bar. You must be 21 to enter the event; ID is required at the entrance.
