ComEd made the announcement overnight. At the height of Sunday's storm, as many as 300,000 ComEd customers were without service. Crews were brought in from other areas to help local ComEd workers restore service.
The utility said the outage was especially challenging because the storm brought down so many trees and power lines, which meant they had to be rebuilt from the ground up.
