July brings steamy temperatures, less rain and a lot of blooms here in the Midwest. This month begins the harvesting of various fruits, vegetables and herbs including one of the most popular for cooking, basil. Basil Leaf Café has been displaying its specialized basil menu since 1998. Sean Tehrani, executive chef and proprietor of Basil Leaf Café, demonstrates several recipes, from the café from soups to martinis, featuring basil.
