Dozens of people who work for the village of Oak Park are on strike. They walked off the job in a contract dispute.

An Oak Park spokesperson says the village is open for business despite the strike.

The employees work in several departments including selling vehicle stickers and parking passes. They are represented by the Service Employees International Union. Non-union workers are filling the spots of those taking part in the work stoppage.
