Home elder care, buyer beware

A study from Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine finds, in some cases, the caregivers get no supervision from the agencies that hire and place them.

The study found most agencies that were questioned said they recruit aides from internet sites such as Craigslist, and some agencies appear to lie about their employees' screening or education.

Experts say there are good agencies and caregivers, but consumers need to ask questions.
