Juanita Burks, 16, and her son, Joshua, were last seen July 6 leaving their home in the 7200-block of South Rockwell.
Police say both mother and child have brown eyes and black hair. According to authorities, Juanita Burks is 4 ft. 11 inches and 125 lbs., and Joshua Burks is 3 ft and 40 lbs.
The mother was last seen wearing blue jeans and an aqua blouse. The child, police say, was in a T-shirt and a diaper.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call Chicago police.
