Rover sending panoramic Mars image

The Mars rover Curiosity is sending back its first 360-degree view of the planet.

The panoramic pictures were stitched together from a series of high-resolution images.

They show a mountain range where scientists hope to find evidence the planet could have harbored life.

NASA is now working to map out possible routes to those mountains.
