Study: Delays in brain development related to ADHD risk

Scientists have uncovered more evidence that certain types of delays in brain development seem to be related to a heightened risk for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

A new study finds that developmental of a certain area in the cerebral cortex was slower in children with ADHD, which backs previous research.

At this point, the findings have no clinical implications, but they may one point to genes that control the timing of brain development.

That can help to learn more about understanding the causes and the underlying changes that happen with ADHD.
