Guests will sip and sample seasonal creations from well-known chefs, including Top Chef Season 9 Winner Paul Qui.
'A Magnificent Taste' takes place TONIGHT, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6:30pm to 9pm at Pioneer Court (401 N Michigan Avenue). General admission tickets can be purchased for $125 and VIP for $200 that will include an exclusive meet and greet reception with Paul Qui, 5:30pm – 6:30pm. 1 cup seedless watermelon diced large
1/4 cup shaved red onion
1/4 cup cilantro leaves and stem
1/4 cup basil leaves
1/4 cup mint leaves
1 can (12oz) Coco Rico (coconut soda)
1 cup Red Boat Fish Sauce
1 cup lime juice
4 cloves garlic (minced)
4 Thai chili's (adjust amount to taste)
1 T black pepper
Mix coconut soda, fish sauce, lime juice, garlic, red onion, cilantro stems and chilies and black pepper together and reserve.
When ready to serve place watermelon in a chilled bowl, dress with fish sauce mixture and garnish with herbs.
