Construction will begin next year on a new $104 million science building at the University Of Illinois at Chicago.

The Advanced Chemical Technology Building will house faculty in chemistry, biology and physics. They'll work together to research ideas on cutting- edge technologies.

Construction is expected to begin at the end of the school year and take about 2 years.

Governor Quinn says the project is expected to create 200 construction jobs and more than 80 permanent campus jobs once it's completed.
