CTU Pres. Karen Lewis: No deal tonight, 3rd day of strike expected

September 11, 2012 (CHICAGO)

"Don't expect a deal today," said Lewis. "There has not been as much movement as I would have hoped. Talks continue."

Chicago public school teachers are in their second day of strikes as negotiations continue over a contract dispute. Thousands of teachers, nurses and social workers who are part of the CTU gathered at the Chicago Public Schools headquarters around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and marched through the Loop.
