The American Academy of Pediatrics is reaffirming its earlier cautions about trampoline use, both at home and at the playground, in a new report in the journal pediatrics.
An earlier report prompted manufacturers to add safety features to the products in an attempt to mitigate the risks. But, according to the pediatricians group, these measures provide a false sense of security.
Emergency rooms across the country see nearly 100,000 injuries from trampolines every year. Those numbers are down, but trampoline use has reportedly also decreased.
