Tech companies pledge more Chicago jobs

Leaders from 22 different employers -- ranging from health care services to retail -- outline their plans for expansion Monday at web-based food ordering company GrubHub.

Some of the companies CEO's say they are committing to growing here because of the city's commitment to fostering a technology- friendly economy in which to do business.

The mayor credits the city's efforts to expand internet service and technology tools at public institutions like schools and libraries for making Chicago's workforce more attractive to technology-based employers.
