An auction of property owned by the indicted former comptroller of Dixon, Ill., has brought in millions of dollars.

The U.S. Marshal Service says the sale of 400 horses and other horse related equipment brought in $4.78 million. All of the property belonged to Rita Crundwell. She's accused of stealing $53 million Dixon over 22 years.

If Crundwell is convicted, proceeds from the sale goes to the city of Dixon. If she is acquitted, the money will be returned to her.
