Under the new calendar, which was made public Friday morning, students will have classes on Presidents Day in February, their winter break will be shortened and the school year will end later.
June 19, 2013 will be the new last day of school for 'Track E' students, and June 24 will be the new last day of school for 'Track R' students.
Meanwhile, copies of the tentative teachers contracts and ballots start arriving at Chicago public schools Friday in preparations for the vote by rank and file union teachers next week.
