An American Airlines flight from Chicago to Great Britain had to make two separate unscheduled landings in one trip.

Flight 98 was en route from Chicago to London when the smell of smoke was detected in the cabin. The flight landed Tuesday in Shannon, Ireland, where it was being checked out. No one has been injured.

Earlier, the same flight had to land in Newfoundland, Canada, because a passenger had a medical emergency.
