Aurora gets $1M for high-speed internet

Governor Pat Quinn awarded $1 million to a group that will help bring high-speed internet to city of Aurora.

Onlight Aurora is the newest winner of the Illinois Gigabit Communities Challenge, a competition to build ultra-high speed broadband networks across the state. Governor Quinn says the $1 million seed investment will connect education, business and healthcare communities to aurora's fiber optic network and create 2500 jobs.
