Emanuel to campaign for Obama in Florida

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will travel to Florida this weekend to campaign for President Obama, according to the mayor's spokesperson.

Emanuel will visit the Tampa area and southern Florida. The Chicago mayor will support Obama campaign efforts to get out the vote.

Emanuel also will participate in outreach efforts with Florida's Jewish community. His spokeswoman says he will highlight President Obama's support for Israel and domestic issues important to the Jewish community.

Emanuel served as Obama's chief of staff until October of 2010.
