Mental focus exercise may help you sleep better

October 24, 2012

A new study suggests a simple 10-minute mental exercise may reduce tension and make it easier to fall asleep. The technique involves focusing on a thing like the waves on a beach or a quiet lake surrounded by tall trees and breathing deeply.

The study presented at the American College of Chest Physicians suggested the exercise decreases the time it takes to fall asleep, improves the quality of sleep and reduces fatigue.
