Trans fats might not boost 'bad' cholesterol levels

A new review of five studies says, maybe, nothing.

The report in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found no effect on blood sugar control, which is involved in diabetes, but critics say there may be a reason for that.

Some scientists suggest the effect on blood sugar may happen much slower than the changes to cholesterol levels.

Still, most agree, having less of the fats in our diet is a good thing.
