The City of Chicago will demolish another dangerous building as part of an ongoing effort to stop gang activity in and around vacant buildings.

This latest building is the 200th one to be demolished. It is located on East 113th Street in the Roseland community.

Several buildings in that neighborhood have been torn down since July.

The Department of Buildings is also boarding up and securing properties that are known gang havens but are structurally sound and can be eventually put to good use.
