A jury has found a Cook County public defender not guilty of attacking a State's Attorney more than two years ago.

Henry Hams was charged with felony aggravated battery.

A fight broke out between Hams and State's Attorney Mike McCormick at the Criminal Courts Building in Chicago in June 2010.

Both men say they exchanged harsh words.

Hams says he was defending himself.

McCormick says it was an unprovoked attack and is suing Hams.
