Police say a 28-year-old woman may have accidentally gotten on the Drive the wrong way at 57th Street around 4:30 a.m. She was traveling southbound in her Buick Lacrosse and struck an Oldsmobile Sierra in the northbound lanes.
The other driver, a 42-year-old man, was transported to University of Chicago Hospital in good condition. Citations will be issued to the woman, police say.
The northbound lanes of Lake Shore reopened after the accident was moved off to the side.
