Metra trains back on schedule after morning delay

November 9, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Trains backed up along the south side of Union Station around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The signal problems affected service on the BNSF heritage and southwest lines.

The delay was caused by a problem with Amtrak's computer system that affected Metra trains, according to Metra.

A backup computer system was used to get trains back on schedule.
