A judge convicted Joseph Frugoli of leaving the scene of the crash that killed Andrew Cazares and Fausto Manzera in 2009. Their families testified at today's sentencing hearing.
"I hope you consider my many good days when you judge me for my worst," Frugoli told the judge Friday, citing his 18 years as a police officer and nine investigating violent crimes.
He also pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI charges in connection with the crash.
