Chicago police rescue 4 from fire

November 27, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The six officers were in the neighborhood making a traffic stop when a driver alerted them to a nearby fire in the 4100-block of West Division Street.

People were running out of the apartment building when they got there, the officers said.

They rushed in the building and rescued four people.

"We just ran in and got everyone out as fast as we possibly could," Officer Joe Deferville said. "You never know when it's going to happen and when it does happen, you just do what you gotta do."

No one had to be taken to the hospital. Six people were displaced. The cause of the fire is unknown.
