ABC7's Judy Hsu, Hosea Sanders, Tracy Butler, Roz Varon, Val Warner and Ryan Chiaverini will be live at various communities in Chicago and suburbs to rally support for food donations to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Dominick's Finer Foods and ABC 7 Chicago are teaming up for the 14th consecutive year to help fight hunger in Chicago during the Spirit of Giving Food Drive, which runs through January 2, 2013. On Tuesday, December 4, ABC 7 News anchors and Windy City LIVE hosts will be live at various Chicago and suburban locations to encourage Chicagoans to think big when it comes to donating food for those in need. The Spirit of Giving Food Drive will be showcased on ABC 7 newscasts throughout the day at 5am, 6am, 11am, 4 pm, 5pm, 6pm and on Windy City LIVE at 9 am on the 4th. All food drive donations will benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Joining in the good cheer and bolstering enthusiasm for food donations will
be the York Community High School Marching Band, the Little Black Pearl Choir,
and the perennially favorite "Bah! Humbug," Mr. Scrooge, from the Goodman
Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol. And at York Community High School,
residents will be asked to "stuff a truck" with food!
