Rita Crundwell property brings in $8M for Dixon -- so far

December 10, 2012 (DIXON, Ill.)

The largest amount came from the sale of her horses, which brought in well over $5 million. The U.S. Marshal Service also sold off equipment from her horse breeding business, a luxury motor home, and furniture from two houses.

Crundwell pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering and faces up to 20 years in prison when she is sentenced in February. She stole $53 million from the tiny town.
