CTA headquarters were crowded Monday night as riders concerned about proposed fare increases and changes to popular bus routes shared their opinions with the board.

Many in attendance called on the CTA to save the #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick route.

Some called the route their "lifeline."

Alderman Ameya Pawar from the 47th ward was present.

"Anytime there are cuts to bus lines, there's almost always a disproportionate impact to seniors, people living on fixed incomes, people who have a lower income," said Pawar.

Other riders said they opposed the proposed price increases for 30-day passes, and passes for seniors.
