A protest over police brutality took place Thursday night outside the monthly meeting of the Chicago Police Board.

A group called "Campaign to End Torture" called on the department to fire a police detective.

They say he is the only subordinate of former Commander Jon Burge, who's still on the force.

Protesters held up a banner of with the names of men allegedly tortured by police.

Inside the meeting, the family of a 15-year-old shot to death by an officer last month spoke to the board.

Police say Dakota Bright was fired on after he pointed a gun at them.
