Members of a suburban high school choir are back home from the thrill of a lifetime. They performed at the White House.

Palatine High School's choir returned by bus early Monday morning from their whirlwind trip to Washington, D.C.

The group sang holiday songs on Saturday for visitors inside the White House.

"The experience was just amazing," said choir member Nick Santoro.

The group's 41 members each paid their own way but held fundraisers to offset the costs. They are planning a spring choir trip to Hawaii.
