Lance Corporal Alex Spencer has been deployed twice, most recently to Afghanistan.
A party was held in his honor Wednesday night in Elmhurst and the Warriors Watch Riders dropped in as a surprise.
Spencer enlisted in 2009 and would like to become a music teacher when his military service is complete.
