The City of Chicago has reached a settlement with a Bensenville church involving a cemetery and O'Hare expansion, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

The newspaper reports the lengthy court battle over the land, bought for $1.3 million, has ended.

St. John United Church of Christ had threatened to take the matter to trial, and almost 1,500 reburials resulted in the process.

The city won control of the property two years ago and has spent $17 million to relocate the remains from the cemetery.
