Drinking a lot of soda may cost you more than calories and cavities. Anew study of more than 260,000 people finds a link between sweetened soft-drinks and depression.

Diet sodas may be making matters worse.

Researchers at the National Institutes Of Health say those who drank more than four servings of soda a day were 30- percent more likely to have depression, and the risk of depression appeared to be greater for those who drank diet soda.

Meanwhile, those who drank four cups of coffee a day were about ten percent less likely to have had a diagnosis of depression than those who didn't drink coffee.
