Thousands of athletes took a nearly 100-story journey one step at a time at the 16th annual Hustle Up the Hancock Sunday morning.

Runners sprinted, stepped, and staggered up 94 flights of stairs inside the Hancock Tower.

The event raises money for the Respiratory Health Association of Greater Chicago.

This year's race featured a new record, with the first runner reaching the 94th floor in just under 9.5 minutes.
